Biography: 

I live in Headland, AL with my husband Justin and our sweet furbaby Harper.  I have three children, Dakota, Dylan, and Devin and four grandchildren.  I currently teach 7th grade civics, geography, and computer science.  In my spare time, I like to watch most any kind of sport and I love cheering on the Auburn Tigers.  War Eagle!

My goal as a social studies teacher is to show students that they will play an intricate role in their communities through civic participation. Social studies education helps students understand the world they live in, so they can make informed decisions about issues affecting them, especially when they grow older. Through social studies, students develop historical thinking and literacy as a way of navigating our world. Successfully teaching social studies is all about how you present it!
